SUNGLASSES

Ken Forni - Owner/Optician

KenSunglass lens colors are not just for cosmetics*. The color of the lens actually affects the filtration of light through a lens. Transmission is the physical process of light passing through a lens to the Retina. Controlling how the Retina receives light is what optics is all about.

When it comes to sunglasses , Polarized lenses filter out blinding glare from car windshields, sun, snow and shiny surfaces. While controlling glare a Polarized lens allows the visual white light to focus on the Retina allowing for precise vision.

DIFFERENT COLORS OF POLARIZED LENSES SATISFY DIFFERENT NEEDS

GREY: A natural color providing true perception and low color distortion. Grey is a general purpose lens and doesn't enhance contrast.

BROWN: Provides high contrast in bright light and enhances blue and green. great for sports and driving.

GREEN: Provided contrast in low light and reduces eye  strain in bright light.

YELLOW: Provides excellent depth perception and contrast in low light. Great for night driving.

Grey and brown  polarized lenses are the lens colors of choice for most people.
