The two Kens are very proud of the people that represent Kens’ Eyewear. You will not find a better lineup of experienced professional opticians and staff in any other optical company in the state.

Bill Galarneau

Bill Galarneau

Licensed in 1987

Bill began his optical career as an apprentice journeyman at Jilson – Thorens central laboratory – Springfield in 1971. He has worked all aspects of optics, from wholesale fabrication to management positions in historic companies such as Jilson-Thoren and Alony Opticians. Bill is the manager of our East Longmeadow store.

Larry Pion

Larry Pion

Licensed in 1983

Larry graduated from W.I.T.I. – Worcester with an Associates degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing. He received his license and went to work for Jilson-Thoren Opticians. He joined Kens' Eyewear in 1985 and became the manager of our Northampton store. His expertise continues to keep Northampton one of our strongest branches.

Ron Hiltpold

Ron Hiltpold

Licensed in 1969

Ron began his optical career with Morrison Opticians in Northampton. He worked as a dispensing optician and furthered his career by becoming co-owner of the company. Ron has worked in all aspects of optics from lens fabrication to co- owner of a retail dispensary. Ron is the manager of our Westfield store.

Donna Bodurtha

Donna Bodurtha

Apprentice optician

Donna started with Kens' Eyewear in 1986 as a part time secretary in the Springfield office. Her abilities have advanced her to Administrative Director of the company overseeing all aspects of Kens' internal business structure.Years of acquired optical knowledge has inspired Donna to move toward her optical dispensing license.

Rick Bonasiak

Rick Bonasiak

Licensed in 1978

Rick started his optical career in 1973 at Bausch and Lomb laboratories in the lens fabrication department. He then apprenticed with Weir Opticians in Holyoke MA. He received his optical licence and moved on to become co-owner of the company for many years. Rick works in our Northampton Store.

Liz Lempke

Liz Lempke

Licensed in 1979

Liz graduate from W.I.T.I. with an associate’s degree in ophthalmic dispensing. She started her career working with Magay and Barron in Worcester MA . After moving back to the area she worked for several independent optical stores and most recently with Dr. Hutt in Holyoke MA. She brings with her over 30 years expience in both the optical and retail fields.

Lori Reynolds

Licensed in 1993

Lori has been a licensed optician for nearly 18 years. She came to us from a local ophthalmology practice and has worked in both large and small optical shoppes. Lori posseses a vast knowledge of all the latest lens technologies available and expert skills in frame adjustment and repair. You will enjoy both her charming personality and great sense of fashion when selecting new eyewear. Lori works in all of Kens' Eyewear branches.

Ken Gaspar

Ken Gaspar

Licensed in 1978

Ken started his optical career in 1970 as apprentice journeyman at Jilson-Thoren central laboratory in Springfield. He finished his Master Journeyman degree at American Optical Southbridge in 1974. He worked for companies such as Jilson -Thoren, Alony Opticians, and The Spectacle Shoppe. Ken has worked from Central Mass to the Berkshires in all phases of optics including managing optical finish laboratories to managing retail dispensaries. He became business partners with Ken Forni and opened Kens' Eyewear first branch in Springfield in 1980.

Ken attended Erie College - Buffalo, New York and graduated with a degree and license in ophthalmic dispensing. He worked locally in management positions for the Spectacle Shoppe and Alony Opticians. He then moved to th Boston area and became Assistant General Manager of the eight store chain Montgomery – Frost in Boston. Ken is experienced in all phases of optics from manufacturing to dispensing. He became business partners with Ken Gaspar and opened Kens' Eyewear first branch in Springfield in 1980.
